Designed for simultaneous visualization of lipids and elastic fibers, the kit enables detailed assessment of atherosclerosis by localizing both lipids (e.g., intracellular and extracellular cholesterol and phospholipids) and connective tissue damage (e.g., elastic fibers) within plaques. It can also be applied to demonstrate changes in elastic tissues in conditions such as emphysema and other vascular diseases.
